William Astor IV

William IV was groomed to be the next heir of the Astor family ever since he learned how to walk. Closed off from the rest of his siblings, he spends his day bound to rigorous lessons and studies that he did not get to live his life like normal rich kids do. While some (aka his brother Matthias and sister Adella), lavished in the luxury that the family has, he rather did not but was taught the ways of trade and profit. At a young age, he did not see money as something to just waste in the fastest second, he was calculative to know when to spend and focused more in investing and saving.

 

He was closed off for the first half of his life being that he did not get the chance to develop a childhood like his other siblings had. He was required to take self-defense lessons but was never allowed to join his siblings in the mission s they undertook once they were older. Instead, he spent his days cooped up in his office in the Astor Tower, sorting through legal files and documents. It’s not as if he did not enjoy these kinds of things, rather, he was just lonely.

 

Then came into his life, Melissa Palvin. She was the daughter of a Hungarian heiress whom he was fortunate enough to meet at a function of the elites. It was love at first sight for the both of them and no sooner did they get married. Melissa bore him two children, Natalie, and the future Astor heir, William V. In an unfortunate accident, a plane crash killed Melissa, leaving Natalie and William orphaned as children.

 

William IV was devastated by this and thus withdrew from his executive duties and instead spent his time in the Astor University where he then met Emeraude, his current wife.

 

William IV is calculating, stubborn, calm and collected. He rarely gets angry unless he’s really done with everything. He also learned the art of manipulation and persuasion, having it handy during business transactions. He usually plans a step ahead and always have multiple back up plan.
