Valcost Orgins
YOU CALL IT CHAOS. WE CALL IT FAMILY.
Gadiel Malcolm, also referred to as the Godfather, is currently the last descendant of a family that founded the paradise now known as Valcoast. The family ancestry can be traced all the way back to Roman Empire—an ancient civilization rich on culture, invention, knowledge, political, as well as military power. In the year 1820, Valcoast enacted as an independent state under the leadership of the original family founder, the Rothschild Family. With the vision of recreating one of the greatest empires in the world history, the booming metropolis bloomed on the land blessed by the deities. Not only did the original family sit on an oil ocean underneath the grounds, but gold and diamond mines were also located right in their backyard. This fortune grasped the attention of the world and compelled numerous families to begin migrating into the island, as well as wishing to marry into the Rothschild family. Within the big families’ ambitiousness and partnerships—the Astors, Vanderbilts, and the Rockefellers ranked as the top big three in terms of wealth, attaining the capital honour to stand as their own. To this day, Valcoast is one of the most influential and massive places in the world.

Over the course of years, certain families were finer at being ambitious over the others, whereas some families were just consistent at not being better. Due to the neverending conflicts that surfaced with the establishment of the independent families, the Rothschild set up the Island of Valcoast into three to be owned by the independent families. and a common ground called Vadim Park where peace is often negotiated and violence is not tolerated. Respect was gained, fear was implemented, territory was claimed. Through triumphant decades, each families have earned themselves a section of land in the state. The land partitions contributed greatly to the placement of the families’ wealth rankings. Out of the three families, the Astors have been immovable and currently dominate the family hierarchy. The Vanderbilts place in second, followed by the Rockefellers. The Astors operate and administer the city’s water, oil, electricity and gas supply, as well as hotels, restaurants and many other food industries. The Vanderbilts have mastery over their art galleries, museums, legal art and antiquities trading. The Rockefellers manage the industry of alcohol, vinification, and tobacco. With these divided lands, privileged titles were commenced and competition was induced.

Surveillance and scrutiny impacted the levels of credibility and loyalty. Each year, financial security and confidentiality became more and more controversial, and since then, after several incidents of malicious threats within and towards the three families, illegal businesses were born. In time, mafias stood as the sequestered pillars of the three families. Consiglieres, spies, gunmen, and traders rose in a blaze. Proficiency and detailed expertise were passed down and enhanced through individual training.

The Union of Gadiel and Meredith:

Gadiel married Meredith in 1964, who used to be the wife of Easton Rothschild, a good friend of his since childhood. Since their families lived in the same neighbourhood and frequently hosted family events, the three consistently went to the same school from nursery to college and developed intimate bonds with each other like siblings. When Meredith was first shamed for only having male friends, Easton and Gadiel made an eternity pact to look after her and place her as their first priority. Gadiel and Meredith have always been each other’s first love, but they kept their feelings concealed until they discovered that Easton was arranged to marry her on the day they turn 17. Three years into their marriage, Easton died of a heart disease he did not know he had. Gadiel and Meredith were then later fixed to marry each other by their parents a year after Easton died. They have now been married for 49 years.
